Partner Ryan Kalamaya recently joined the board of directors for Alpine Legal Services, Inc. The organization is a non-profit with a mission “to ensure access to justice by providing and coordinating quality legal services that protect and advance fundamental legal rights.” With offices in Aspen and Glenwood Springs, Alpine Legal Services helps victims of domestic violence, low-income individuals going through a divorce, persons over the age of 60 seeking legal assistance or those facing eviction.
Alpine provided more than 3,200 attorney hours on approximately 350 cases in 2016. More than 60 attorneys, including attorneys Ryan Kalamaya and Georgina Melbye, provided pro bono services for the organization last year. Alpine Legal Services offered a number of legal education clinics in the Roaring Fork Valley in 2017, including the first Senior Law Day. Alpine also held a Family Law Resources Day with the Access to Justice Committee for the 9th Judicial District on October 26, 2017.
Ryan Kalamaya is the managing partner for Kalamaya | Goscha. His practice is focused on personal disputes such as divorce, personal injury, wrongful death and criminal defense. Ryan regularly handles pro bono cases each year in Pitkin, Garfield & Eagle Counties.
