Georgina Melbye is an experienced personal injury, family law, and criminal defense attorney with a passion for problem-solving that enables her to break down complex legal issues into manageable parts. Georgina’s approach has earned her a reputation as someone who is tireless in her pursuit of justice for her clients with a high rate of success. Georgina has extensive experience in family law including divorce, child custody, and business valuations. She has also handled over 300 DUI and DWAI cases and other complex criminal matters in Pitkin, Garfield, and Eagle County. Her personal injury experience ranges from motor vehicle accidents, to wrongful death claims, and ski accidents.

Georgina can also represent you on a limited-scope basis to prepare for and attend a court hearing.

Community Involvement

Georgina is an active member of her local community. She currently serves as secretary on the board of Aspen Strong. A non-profit, Aspen Strong, helps connect the community to mental health services. She is also serves on the Young Lawyers Division board and previously served on the board of the Pitkin County Bar Association. During law school, Georgina worked at the Colorado Innocence Project and remains committed to giving back to the community in the form of pro bono legal work.

More About Georgina

Georgina has always been fond of the outdoors. Growing up on a farm outside of Boulder, she spent her days riding horses and did so competitively through college.

When she’s not in the office, you can find Georgina exploring the mountains on her skis with her husband, Stephen, and their two dogs, Yuki and Bear. Together, they live in Snowmass Village and are lucky enough to call the Roaring Fork Valley, home.
