New Felony DUI Law Now In Effect

Aspen DUI

Next time you think about driving home after enjoying drinks at your favorite Aspen restaurant, consider calling a cab or taking the bus. Drivers in Colorado could now be subject to significant consequences with the new felony DUI law going into effect.

On June 1, Governor Hickenlooper signed the new DUI bill into law. It goes in into effect today, August 5th. The law makes a fourth drunken-driving charge in a lifetime a felony punishable by up to six years in prison.
