Colorado DUI Felony Bill Killed by Senate

The proposed bill to make repeat Colorado DUI convictions a felony did not make it out of a Senate committee yesterday. I previously wrote about the proposal here. After passing the State House on a 56-6 vote, the proposal will have to wait until next year before becoming law.

According to the Denver Post, Colorado is one of four states that does not step up penalties for repeat DUIs and make them felonies.
