After the DA’s Office, Ryan began work as a private attorney for Garfield & Hecht, P.C. While there, Ryan was mentored and trained by one of the best Aspen divorce lawyers for over four years. He has attended both the National Institute of Trial Advocacy’s Rocky Mountain Building Trial Skills program as well as the prestigious American Bar Association/NITA Family Law Advocacy Institute.

Aspen divorce attorney

Ryan and his team were great to work with. He demonstrated deep knowledge of the related law and was thoroughly prepared throughout. I also found his use of modern technology a big plus. I'd highly recommend Ryan for divorce representation in Aspen.

Excellent Attorney

Ryan was recommended to us for our specific case and because of the area he practiced in. Before retaining Ryan, I contacted him and discussed the details of our situation. Ryan came across as a very caring and passionate person. Due to the nature of our case, this was critical because I needed to know that he could look beyond the boundaries of culture and race and be fair and honest. Throughout the entire case, Ryan was always available to answer all our questions and give his best advice. What I admired most about him was his PASSION for justice. You can fake a lot of things in life, but PASSION is not one of them. I believe that he put his whole heart into our case to see that justice was served. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Ryan Kalamaya to represent us.

A couple years very fine defense

My ex-wife came back at me 3 years later for more. I engaged Ryan Kalamaya. From the beginning he accurately predicted the outcome, and his strategy was just right. It was a long slog, because her lawyer stalled and dragged out every bit possible, but in the end Ryan succeeded, the judge denied her case, and she settled. Throughout Ryan gave me sage advice. He also helped keep my bill from growing too much, and correctly advised me not to bother with unnecessary things that I would have done, but they'd only have wasted time and money. All in all it was an awful experience being inappropriately attached with exaggerations and untruths, but putting my trust in Ryan's knowledge of the system, kept me going, and in the end things worked out as best as possible. I would clearly recommend him to anyone needing help on divorce matters. He knows the law. He quickly learned the many details of my case. He's really good at making computers work well. At one point she gave the opposite answer to a question she's answered 2 years earlier, and on the fly during the trial, he was able to quickly search through a 1,000 pages of documentation find that page of her old testimony and confront her with it. Ryan is a great, well-rounded guy, and I'm extremely glad I engaged his services. I can't speak more highly of him.

Best attorney and good guy

Ryan helped me through an accident involving a drunk driver with multiple serious injuries, including myself. He made the process very easy and kept me in the loop the entire way. Not to mention, Ryan helped me get a great settlement for all of us. If you are in the Aspen/Colorado area, he's your guy.

Car accident

This is the first time I have ever had to work with a lawyer to solve a problem. Myself and some friends were involved in a rear end collision. A drunk driver hit us from behind at full speed while stopped at a red light. Ryan Kalamaya and RKV Law were able to provide me with a clear idea of how things would happen during this process and actively followed through every step of the way just as described. If anything unexpected came up Ryan would meet with me or accept calls to discuss and resolve the matter right away. Ryan and his team managed to get things done in a very short amount of time with a huge amount of success in return. I highly suggest anyone in a tough situation with the law to contact Ryan Kalamaya in the process.

I worked with Ryan and his very good assistant in the firm for 8 months dealing with a rear end collision. During that time I received timely notifications with a kind tone. Due to my accident I was not very clear or punctual but Ryan sorted out the facts and dealt with all the insurance adjusters and and medical bills so that I could focus on recovery. Once I had recovered, Ryan quickly wrapped up my case and sent me a nice check. With out Ryan's help I would not have healed as well or as fast, nor received compensation for this accident. Ryan is a my top recommendation for any personal injury case you may have.

Injured in accident

Ryan Kalamaya and his team did an outstanding job. I came to him not knowing what to expect, because I had never been in such a severe wreck before. I was nervous, injured and didn't know what to do. Ryan and his whole team treated me with care and compassion. If I was ever confused, fearful or had any questions they were ready to help. The entire process was professional and attentive. I couldn't have hope for a better person to have my back during such a traumatic time. Thank you to Ryan and his wonderful team. Highly recommended.

Excellent work!

Ryan represented me with a divorce that could have been super tumultuous. While everyone warned me that the lawyers will end up with all of the money, I felt that Ryan put me first and truly had my best interest in mind. He steered me in the right direction at every crossroad and was very careful to not drag out the divorce and fairly settle the disputes in mediation. He turned into a great friend in the process!
