Kalamaya | Goscha has extensive experience in Aspen divorces involving complex property valuations, self-employed individuals, trusts and pre-marital agreements.

The team also helps families in Aspen and Snowmass Village navigate parenting plans and complicated post-decree parenting time disputes. Our award-winning team is composed of partners Ryan Kalamaya and Amy Goscha, associate attorney Georgina Melbye, and paralegal, Rachel Brisson.

Both Ryan and Amy have gained the respect of the best attorneys in Colorado for their knowledge of the law, and their ability to resolve disputed issues by wading through the underlying emotions of the core issues. They have each represented high net worth individuals, celebrities, successful business executives, ambitious professionals, and and their spouses  in front of Judge Christopher Seldin in Pitkin County.

Ryan and Amy have been selected for inclusion to the Colorado Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for the last 5 years. Less than 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 or with less than 10 years experience are included on the Colorado Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. Ryan and Amy are two of only three lawyers included on the Colorado Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in the Roaring Fork Valley for divorce and separation.

Avvo.com also rates both at 10 out of 10. Amy was selected for the Top 10 Best Under 40 for Client Satisfaction from the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. A former prosecutor for over 2 years, Ryan has been selected for the Top 40 Under 40 list by The National Trial Lawyers. There are over 70+ client reviews and attorney endorsements for Ryan.

Georgina Melbye has appeared a number of times in Pitkin County District Court and represented clients from all walks of life. Our paralegal, Rachel Brisson, has over 10 years of experience, including more than 2 years with Jeremy Bernstein. Kalamaya | Goscha provides rigorous and innovative representation to clients dealing with a divorce in Aspen and Snowmass Village.

Issues We Handle

An Entire Team Representing You

Our Aspen clients love knowing that the trial team holds bi-weekly meetings to discuss recent developments in domestic-relations law, their strategy in each case, and the experts and opposing counsel involved to ensure we provide top-notch service. If the lead attorney is in court or on vacation, we always have someone with experience in family law cases that is familiar with your matter and can step in.

For larger, more complex disputes, we frequently staff a partner, associate and paralegal on a case. We never bill for two attorneys working at the same time. The result is cost-savings for our clients because Georgina or Rachel takes the lead on time-intensive things like discovery and drafting motions. Ryan or Amy is responsible for developing a strategic plan to best position the case for settlement and, if necessary, trial in Aspen.

For less complex where costs are of paramount concern, we normally have Georgina take the lead. Rachel is generally involved in all divorces, child custody or other domestic-relations cases. Both consult with the rest of the team if there are wrinkles or questions on the case. Again, this does not cost the client any additional money because of our billing policy.

Costs

We know that everyone is concerned with how much a divorce or family law dispute will cost. That is why we are fully transparent with our fees and costs. We are the only firm in Aspen who publishes our rates, retainers and billing policies for divorces. Click here to find out more.
